Hey there, friends.
Hope everyone is doing well.
What's one of the toughest lessons that life has been impressing upon you this year? For me, it has felt like the Universe is trying to open my eyes to life's nature of impermanence.
This is the harsh reality of life.
Circumstances will change. Relationships will end. Loved ones will move on. Our bodies won't look and work like they used to.
Intellectually, we know this.
We know everything in our existence is fleeting and how fragile life is. However, it's not until we're confronted with significant change or loss that we start to feel this truth viscerally and spiritually.
Last week, Human Parts published a piece I wrote about my experience over the last two years dealing with life's impermanence and the lessons I am learning. It's one of the more harrowing pieces I ever wrote, as it is aptly titled: "I Might Be Blind One Day But I’ve Never Felt So Alive." (Family and friends, you might want to brace yourselves before reading this one. 😉)
More importantly, I'm eager to hear about the tough lessons life is teaching you and how you're navigating through the challenging terrain of impermanence. In a world that is always spotlighting our differences, this is part of our shared humanity. Everything can change in the blink of an eye for all of us, so it's a subject we can all relate to (or eventually will relate to). Hit reply and share your thoughts.
Thanks for reading and have a great couple of weeks.

You Are a Multidimensional Personality
Jane Roberts
Trust the miracle of your own being. Make no divisions between the physical and the spiritual in your lifetimes, for the spiritual speaks with a physical voice and the corporeal body is the creation of the spirit (...)
You will not become more spiritual by denying your flesh. This is the life you are living! Trust the living that flows through you. By doing so, other realities will make themselves known. They will add dimension and depth to your present reality.
...You cannot appreciate your spirituality unless you appreciate your creaturehood. It is not a matter of rising above your nature, but of evolving from the full understanding of it. There is a difference.

The Divine, All-Powerful, Unstoppable and Magnificent Being
John C. Parkin
There are two apparently opposing forces that govern our lives. No, not good and evil. Love and fear. That's right: the opposite of love is not hate, but fear.
Maybe it's because we innately know that everything is impermanent that we so desperately cling to it.
We know that our youth vanishes, that we and our loved ones will die one day, that whatever we have accumulated can easily be taken away from us, that one day our skills might not be wanted, that a day may come when our love might not be reciprocated. But we go on clinging.
Everywhere we turn we are faced with impermanence.
The more we cling — of course — the more pain we feel as things fade, disappear, and die around us.
And sometimes the more we cling, the more these things happen...
The key to being able to let go of all the stuff you're holding on to is knowing that you'll be okay if you don't have it.
And that's the truth.
You can survive with very little. And though the passing of people and things can be painful, you will survive.

Learning How To Think
David Foster Wallace
Teaching you how to think is actually shorthand for a much deeper, more serious idea: learning how to think really means learning how to exercise some control over how and what you think. It means being conscious and aware enough to choose what you pay attention to and to choose how you construct meaning from experience. Because if you cannot exercise this kind of choice in adult life, you will be totally hosed. Think of the old cliché about “the mind being an excellent servant but a terrible master.

Continuing on the theme of learning tough life lessons and impermanence, a reader recently shared:
In 2020 I broke up with my wife, was diagnosed with cancer, went through treatment that made me feel sick for 7 weeks, and couldn't get a job for a year, all during COVID. I went to the bottom. I thought I was broken and tried to fix myself. But the truth is, I wasn't broken. I slowly came back up again. I found I was resilient. Now I have a job and a new relationship, I act as a volunteer for the More to Life charity, and exercise nearly every day.
He then shared this quote from writer and humorist, Linda Poindexter:
With gratitude. ✌🏼

Inspiration and wisdom to help you navigate your path and consciously create a life of meaning, purpose, and one that you absolutely love.
Hey there conscious creator! Take a look at this quote — which is one of my all-time favorites: Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in...
Hey there conscious creator! An interesting question was posed to me this week: How do I consciously create the life I desire and shift my identity to become the person I know I‘m destined to be when shit keeps happening around me that pushes me further away from that? I love that question — because it strikes at the heart of our journey. Translation: How do you step back into your power when it feels like the outside world is messing with you? Life is unpredictable, and we can't control...
Hey there conscious creator! Welcome to a special “Identity Shifting” edition of the You Are A Conscious Creator Newsletter. That’s right. This edition is all about Identity Shifting! What exactly is Identity Shifting? Identity Shifting is intentionally redefining your self-concept—how you see yourself and your beliefs about who you are to align with the person you want to become. You might be wondering, “Why would I want to change who I am?” Well, reality is merely a mirror—and our inner...
