Hey there creator,
I came across this quote the other day which is quickly becoming an all-time fave so I was inspired to share it with you.
This is a quote from 13th-century Persian poet Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, also known as Rumi, who is widely regarded as a legendary philosopher and spiritual master.
I discovered his writings a few years ago which are full of wisdom and insights, and to this day he remains the best-selling poet in the U.S. (Yes, even more than Shakespeare.)
This quote while written 800 years ago still rings so true in our lives today.
Whether it's in the way we approach our work and career, the goals we set, in our relationships, or simply in what we believe we are capable and worthy of, WE PLAY SMALL.
We habitually marginalize ourselves — always clinging to various reasons that hold us back.
Maybe we worry about coming off "cocky" if we shined our light and stepped up to the plate by going after something big, daring, and completely out of our norm.
Maybe we fear falling flat on our faces if we "went big" and what others will say behind our backs.
Or sometimes we just flat out devalue ourselves and think it's not possible or "realistic" for us to accomplish great things — relegating that for other people to do but not us.
Far from a news flash, but playing small only limits you.
And when you fight for those limitations, guess what?
You get to keep them... which means you won’t grow.
You won't learn.
You won't further develop your talents and skills.
You won't fully connect with and unleash your passion.
You won't unfold into the next greatest version of yourself.
You won't discover what you're truly capable of.
But worst of all, you won't share your gifts to inspire others and to be of service to the planet.
The Universe wants you to shine your light as bright as possible so you can have the greatest impact on others and the world around you.
Have you looked around and took the pulse of the world lately?
It sure as shit NEEDS YOU!
It needs more people who want to serve authentically and consciously.
If you play small, you deprive not only yourself but others.
You won't be able to have the influence and make the impact you deserve and are WORTHY to make on the world.
We all deserve to spread our UNIQUE VALUE like wildfire for the benefit of others... and to receive an abundance of value in return.
The Universe will make sure of it.
For the longest time, I used to play small. Tiny. Minuscule.
Always caught up in the trance of unworthiness or paralyzed by the imagined judgments from others if I dared to shine my light.
Then I went through a spiritual awakening in which I learned one of the most valuable insights that forever changed my life:
⚡You are the creator of your reality.
Simple and obvious? In theory, yes.
But when it fully sinks in and permeates your consciousness, you literally become a different person.
You can stop acting small and start playing bigger right now by being intentional with your life and how you want to experience it.
Your intention is everything because it allows something new, something a little unexpected, and something big to flow into your life.
The Universe responds to intention because you now made it clear you are willing to "go big".
So intend to act bigger.
Like Rumi said, "you are the universe in ecstatic motion."
In other words, you have the energy that created the sun, the moon, and entire worlds blazing inside you.
You got this.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the newsletter!

How much is enough?
Behavior Gap | 2 minutes
The "More More More" monster always seems to be knocking at our door in life.
What’s enough income? Success? Ambition? This post is a great reminder that while it’s easy to get caught up in that never-ending cycle of wanting more, one of our keys to happiness and fulfillment is knowing how much we need, and regularly checking in with that question.
Is our “enough” an actual reflection of our values and life situation? Or just the “more, more, more” monster telling us we shouldn’t be satisfied with what we already have?

This question was posed to Michael in a live webinar
Remember everything that is happening... is happening for you. Even the negative in your life is bringing seeds of growth for you. When things seem to be very intense, there's a lesson trying to happen for you and it's revealing where you need to grow.
Instead of fighting your current reality, ask what is my growing edge. Asking this will get you out of feeling like a victim and empower you forward.
